Technical SEO services

Technical SEO that comes with people who can build the fix.

Most technical SEO ends at a document. Ours ends at a deployed change we have checked on your live site. The people who diagnose the problem are the people who write the fix, so nothing gets lost in a handover between a strategist and a developer. They sit on the same team.

Scope

What a technical SEO agency covers.

Not every site needs all of this. Part of the job is telling you which parts yours does not need.

Crawling and indexation

Getting the right pages into the index and the wrong ones out of it. Canonicals that point where they should, redirect chains, parameter handling, crawl budget on large sites, and the robots and sitemap rules that decide what Google ever sees.

Structured data

Entity graphs built properly, with @id relationships that resolve instead of colliding. We have untangled a duplicate organisation entity, invalid FAQ markup and self-serving review ratings on one site and closed the Search Console issue that came with them.

Site architecture

Hub and spoke structures with commercial and informational intent kept apart so your own pages stop competing with each other. Internal linking chosen by hand, not by template, because a 25-link block on every page helps nobody.

Core Web Vitals

Real field data first, then the specific cause. Render-blocking resources, layout shift, oversized images, and caching that never invalidates properly. Measured on your actual pages before and after, not a lab score on the homepage.

Migrations and replatforming

The redirect map, the parity check, the staged rollout and the monitoring afterwards. Migrations are where sites lose years of equity in a weekend, almost always because nobody checked the mapping against real crawl data first.

JavaScript and rendering

Whether your content exists for a crawler that does not wait around. We build tools server rendered by default for this reason, including a geolocation search feature that stays fully crawlable.

Evidence

Three things this has fixed.

Indexation

Zero keywords on a DR 64 domain

  • Authority ruled out: rivals sat at DR 16 to 32
  • A canonical pointing at a redirect
  • Spun copy and two pages chasing one intent
  • Rebuilt as a hub with split intent

Structured data

A schema graph fighting itself

A duplicate organisation entity, per-item LocalBusiness markup, self-serving review ratings and invalid FAQPage markup, all live at once. Consolidated to one valid entity, kept the breadcrumbs and the organisation node after checking the collision risk, and closed the Search Console issue.

Caching

Content stale for a full day

  • Four separate causes behind stale live changes
  • Curated pages no term-based purge could reach
  • Six stale pages matched origin immediately after

Fit

Worth reading before you enquire.

This works well if

  • Your site has traffic and something changed
  • You run WordPress on a custom or heavily modified theme
  • An audit was delivered but never implemented
  • Rankings dropped and the usual reasons do not fit

Probably not a fit if

  • A brand new site with no traffic yet
  • Guaranteed rankings by a date are expected
  • Bought links in bulk, not earned link building
  • You need cheap content in large volume

How it runs

Diagnose, agree, build, verify.

STEP 01

Diagnosis

We look at the site, the Search Console data and the competitors, then tell you what is wrong. Free, and you get a clear answer even if the answer is that you do not need us.

STEP 02

Prioritised plan

What is costing you traffic, in order, with the evidence and the risk attached to each item. Including the things we think you should skip.

You approve before we start
STEP 03

Build and verify

We write it, deploy it and check it on the live site. Before and after evidence for each change, and a rollback path tested in advance for anything risky.

Logged as it is spent

Cost

What it costs.

Technical SEO and strategy runs at £90 to £110 an hour. Mixed engagements that involve development as well as SEO are billed at a £95 blended rate.

One-off audit

From £900

A prioritised diagnosis you can hand to any developer. Roughly 8 to 12 hours depending on size. Implementation quoted separately if you want us to do it.

Project

Scoped

A defined piece of work such as a schema rebuild, a migration or an architecture fix. Fixed scope and cost agreed in writing before anything starts.

Retained

Monthly

Ongoing technical ownership for sites where things keep moving. A set number of hours a month, rolled into a shared roadmap, not spent on whatever shouts loudest.

Time is logged as it is spent and the ledger is open to you, including anything scrapped or reverted. Full breakdown on the rates page.

FAQ

Questions clients ask

Are you a technical SEO agency, a technical SEO company or a consultant?

In practice all three describe the same arrangement here, so pick whichever word your organisation uses. There is no agency layer: you work directly with the person doing the diagnosis and writing the fix.

Where the distinction does matter is capacity. A technical SEO company with twenty staff can run several workstreams at once with guaranteed cover. A technical SEO consultant cannot, and if that is what your project needs we will tell you instead of stretching to fit it.

What is the difference between technical SEO and regular SEO?

Regular SEO is mostly about what your pages say and who links to them. Technical SEO is about whether search engines can reach those pages, understand them and trust them enough to rank them.

You can have the best page on the internet and still rank nowhere because a canonical points at a redirect, or the template renders the content after the crawler has already given up. That is the part we work on.

How long before I see results?

It depends entirely on what was wrong. Indexation problems can turn around in days once the blocker is gone, because the pages were always good enough, they just were not eligible. Architecture rebuilds take a few months to settle because you are waiting on recrawling and reassessment.

Anyone who gives you a fixed timeline before looking at your site is guessing.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes, and a fair amount of our work comes that way. We sit underneath your strategy or account team as the technical layer, white labelled if you need it. You keep the client relationship, we fix the things your team cannot get to.

Will you just hand me a PDF full of warnings?

No. Crawler exports are easy to generate and mostly useless. A tool will happily tell you about 4,000 missing alt attributes and stay quiet about the one canonical rule that is deindexing your money pages.

What you get is a short list of things that are costing you traffic, in order, with the evidence behind each one and a clear note on which items are not worth your budget. Then we fix them, if you want us to.

Can you implement, or do you only advise?

We implement. The people who diagnose the problem are the people who write the fix, so there is no handover document, no waiting for a developer to interpret a recommendation, and no gap where the fix never happens.

We write the PHP, deploy it, and check it live.

Who will I be dealing with?

The people doing the work. You talk to whoever is diagnosing and building on your site, not to an account manager relaying messages to a queue you never see.

Strategy and code sit on the same team, so a question about why something was recommended and a question about how it was implemented get answered by the same people.

What access do you need?

Usually WordPress admin, Search Console, and whatever sits in front of the site such as Cloudflare or your host panel. SSH or SFTP if there is theme work. We will tell you exactly what we need and why before asking for anything, and credentials go through a password manager, not email.
